TJ was first diagnosed with MSD and then Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. About two weeks later a Pediatric Oncologist diagnosed him with secondary HLH which they said was possibly from Epstein Barr virus he had in high school. He was being treated at Norton Cancer in Louisville, Ky but was transferred to Dana Farber for a bone marrow / Stem cell transplant. The day he was originally scheduled for Stem cell transplant I received the call there is nothing more they could do. His body was no longer responding to the chemotherapy. That was May 19, 2020. He was 32 yo when he passed away on May 23,2020.
