Child’s interests: Playing with her ladybug rattle, going on wagon rides, and snuggles with her mommy and daddy .
Before Allie was diagnosed she was admitted into Driscoll Children’s Hospital on July 10, 2019 at just 1 month old with jaundice, fever, and an enlarged spleen and liver. During that admission Allie had about 2 blood transfusions due to having blood drawn for tests every day which all kept coming back negative.
After 2 months of not knowing what was going on with her little body, doctors finally got the confirmation from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital that Allie had HLH on September 3, 2019.
On February 28, 2020, Allie had finally received her bone marrow transplant. A few weeks after receiving her transplant she caught Adenovirus, which her body could not fight off due to being immunocompromised. This caused her to have a lot of complications with her lungs.
Our Little Allie went with the lord April 16, 2020, but her story still goes on. We love and miss her more and more every day. Although we hurt, we know she is living her best life in heaven with all the other HLH Angels.
